Accounts Payable Specialist/Bookkeeper
We are looking for a reliable and experienced professional to help us properly maintain our Payables information. The Accounts Payable Specialist/Bookkeeper will assist in maintain current accounts and bill approval, verification and payments functions. We are seeking an experienced candidate who can analyze expense reports to assign receipts to the proper vendors and profit centers, work with vendors and reconcile monthly statements with vendors within a specific industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
- Audit and approve invoices
- Weekly AP check runs
- Process employee expenses and log and enter cash receipts
- E-file bank deposits and record NSF checks
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Prepare journal entries and postings to the general ledger
- Maintain accurate and timely records.
- Perform other Accounting-related analysis
Necessary Qualifications:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge and understanding of A/P functions
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook
- Experience with filing 1099s and business licenses
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 /hour
