Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Boiler Maintenance Technicians for projects located in and around Kings Points, NY. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of $40-45/hour based on experience & skill level.  If you are a Boiler Maintenance Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Inspect, maintain, test, modify, adjust and repair boiler related systems, and components at USMMA

• Recording systems operating conditions daily
• Maintaining, repairing and replacing components as necessary for efficient operation
• Cleaning nozzles and oil filters
• Repacking valves
• Greasing and oiling motors and other equipment
• Checking and maintaining motors and ensuring proper impeller rotation
• Checking and cleaning traps
• Adjusting controls for safe and economic operation
• Performing annual inspections, safety checks, and cleaning between May and September and include pressure testing the vessel, testing all safety components and document the results

Requirements

• Must have Boiler Operating Engineer License
•  Highschool diploma or GED
• Prior maintenance experience in a scientific laboratory
• 5+ Years of Experience working on service work of Boilers

• High level of boiler maintenance, troubleshooting and repair expertise

   

• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and familiar with CMMS

• Maintenance Documentation completion and filing
• North American Technician Excellence (NATE) HVAC Service Technician Certification
• HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification
• UA Star HVAC Mastery Certification
• Training from an accredited institution to maintain and operate boiler safety in accordance with New York State Department of Labor (NYS DOL).
