AFTER 6 MO...EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

CDL Class A or B license; required

Must be able to operate manual transmission, no automatic only restricted license allowed

Must be able to retain active commercial driver license

Proven safe and responsible driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years and no DWI/DUI in last 10 years

1+ years commercial driving experience required

Consistent work history

Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and DOT drug and alcohol screens

Subject to random DOT drug and alcohol screens

Able to successfully pass the DOT physical examination

Experience with hauling bulk dirt, sand, rocks, mulch, and landscape material a plus

Prefer candidates with proficient oral and written communication skills, technical skills, and functional skills

Basic mechanical skills to perform regular vehicle inspections

High school diploma or GED

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Exposure to outside weather, including frequent hot and cold conditions, as well as exposure to fumes, vibration, and airborne particles. Noise level is usually moderate

Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts, so employee will be required to follow basic safety precautions

Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturday and Sunday as needed, 40-55 hour work week

Requires the employee to sit, climb, bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Will be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment

This position does not require over the road travel
