Join our team as a skilled boat operator responsible for piloting research vessels in the Puget Sound.
Envision yourself in the field, conducting recreational test fishing and on-water boat surveys for recreational salmon fisheries.

Picture yourself,
Piloting WDFW research vessels to conduct recreational test fishing using a variety of fishing methods including weight and bait, downrigger, jigging, and divers.
In this dynamic role,
You will be operating and selecting test fishing locations with little supervision, training and directing staff in the techniques used while test fishing and making changes to gear and fishing locations based on environmental factors.
With your experience,
You will operate outboard and inboard/outboard motorboats, including trailering, coming along side other boats in motion, launching, and docking boats under various weather conditions.
