BISStern - Design Quality Engineer - BISSELL Homecare

Ready for an internship position where you can apply your skills acquired in coursework into a real-world business setting? BISSELL is looking for a paid, Full-Time Summer 2025 Intern to join our Design Quality Engineering (DQE) Team.

The individual in this role will serve as a vital team member within the Design Quality Engineering function, reporting to a member of the DQE team. The intern will participate in a variety of projects but will also be involved in a summer long capstone project related to their function, in which they will report out their findings to their peers and BISSELL leadership.

• Assist new product development teams with work in BISSELL’s Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Process including; product testing, DFMEA, DVP&R, Root Cause Analysis and Audits.
• Learn and apply quality data to identify potential quality issues, establish issue priority, and perform hands-on analysis of product returns.
• Execute project identifying product failures, performing root cause analysis, evaluate solutions, design and administer verifications of solutions.

Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited, four-year university majoring in engineering or a closely related field. 

• Ability to work a full-time schedule throughout the program, within BISSELL’s standard office hours.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfort in presenting in front of large groups of Associates across multiple business functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong affinity for process optimization, troubleshooting skills, and data analysis.
