About the Job
The Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Technician (BMET) is responsible for performing complete maintenance cycles on medical equipment sets, including inspections, repairs, calibrations, and overhauls. This role requires utilizing authorized Army Automated Systems to ensure all equipment meets military standards, with a strong focus on completing maintenance actions efficiently and within performance time requirements.

Essential Job Functions
- Conduct technical inspections of new, used, or reconditioned medical equipment.
- Perform repairs on damaged medical equipment to restore full functionality.
- Complete overhauls of medical equipment as needed to meet operational standards.
- Utilize authorized Army Automated Systems such as Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E), Theater Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS), Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), and other systems specifically authorized by the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA) M3D.
- Execute all maintenance actions, including inspections, repair, calibration/PMCS, and overhaul of medical equipment within established performance times to maintain operational readiness.
- Conduct Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and ensure accurate calibration on all assigned equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET).
- Graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course, CBET certification, or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology.
- Experience with the Department of Defense and familiarity with Army Automated Systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently as required.
- Must pass a NACI background investigation, NCIC investigation, and credit check per federal and contractual requirements.
- Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States.
Work Environment
This position operates in a healthcare or military setting, requiring familiarity with military medical equipment standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

- $ 31.73 per hour to $ 35.58 per hour
- $ 66,000.00 annually to $ 74,000.00 annually
