PR: $32-$33/hr
The Senior Scientist will support the validation of Client therapeutic candidates by performing hands-on, bench-level assays involving both cell culture and tissue-based work, and as well as sample processing and analyses from in vivo animal studies. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as have a shared passion for delivering new therapies to patients with critical unmet medical need.
" Support cell culture platform work including iPSC-derived cells.
" Perform molecular biology and cell biology assays including DNA/RNA extraction, qRT-PCR, ELISA.
" Help manage in vivo studies conducted with CROs, and with academic collaborators, including shipment coordination and sample inventory management
" Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks, write study reports, and present data to the team
" Critically assess data generated from diverse experimental approaches in cell and molecular biology.
" Train new team members in use of equipment, laboratory procedures, protocols, and safety procedures as needed.
Quals--
" Bachelors s degree with 2+ years of work experience in academia or industry.
" Experience in generating and working with iPSC-derived cells, disease models strongly desired.
" Expertise in basic techniques in molecular biology and cell biology, assay development in cell lines, primary neurons and iPSC-derived cells.
" Good understanding and experience working with AAVs preferred
" Excellent interpersonal, organization skills, initiative and attention to detail.
" Ability to think critically and creatively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative scientific environment.
" Neuroscience background preferred, but not required
