About the Job
The individual will have the primary responsibility to support the development and validation of bioanalytical assays to assist our efforts to identify and advance the development of Client targets for neurodegenerative disorders using mass spectrometry. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self- motivated, hands-on, scientist with excellent interpersonal skills who is comfortable working in an open environment spanning multiple functions. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
" Perform LC/MS biochemistry, sample preparation, data acquisition and analysis for proteomics and lipidomics.
" Development, optimization, qualification, and validation of bioanalytical assays to support biomarker identification and discovery efforts, using quantitative and semi-quantitative platforms such as LC/MS, automated Western, fluorescent and immunoassays analysis.
" Critically analyze and interpret the data generated.
" Effectively communicate the findings in meetings and collaborate with scientists working on multiple programs.
Quals--
" Bachelors with 5+ years, Master s with 3+ years or PhD with 0+ years of work experience in academia/industry in Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience or applicable field.
" Experience in using mass spectrometry to address biological questions is a plus.
" Experience with immunoassays and fluorescent enzyme activity assays is a plus.
" Experience with targeted or high-resolution mass spec instruments (Orbitrap, triple quad).
" Industry experience and familiarity with following SOPs and FDA guidance in analytical development, qualification and validation is preferred.
" Experience with other bioanalytical platforms of ELISA, automated westerns and flow cytometry is a plus but not necessary.
" Team player, with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
" Ability to think critically and creatively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative scientific environment.
