Job Title: Biologist (0-3 years)
Location: 100 Binney St Ste 600, Cambridge, MA 02142
Duration: 18 Months
Shift: Monday - Sunday (The worker will work every weekend, 4-8 hours, and thru the week 8-24 hours depending on the worker's availability.)
Job Description:
The client is searching for an energized and highly motivated candidate to be part of the diabetes team to assist in cell culture and assays. The candidate should have experience with media preparation, proper aseptic cell culture technique, and scientific documentation.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the coordination of assigned research with other teams as necessary to ensure the completion of the team s research projects.
Aseptic cell culture.
Make observations, evaluate data, interpret results, and document in a well-maintained laboratory notebook.
Prepare solutions, reagents, and media for cell culture as needed.
Comply with standard laboratory practices and company policies.
Work hours will include Saturdays and Sundays.
Qualifications:
B.S. degree with a focus on biology, molecular biology, or cell biology
Experience in media and buffer preparation and cell culture work
Outstanding interpersonal skills and established collaborative working habits
Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
