Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
+ Applying concepts of molecular biology and genomics/genetics into a Bioinformatics format
+ Support and analysis of other genomic data sets, including those from microarray, RNA-sequencing, chromatin binding, DNA sequencing (e.g., amplicon, whole exome, whole genome), DNA topology analysis, single-cell sequencing approaches, STR and qPCR.
+ Conduct data analysis of data sets and will perform associated customized programming as required and support the use of academic and commercial software products
+ Use modern data science paradigm, such as tidyverse, to analyze and interpret data, while ensuring the accuracy of the analysis.
+ Analysis of high throughput sequencing data
+ Consult with collaborators about their biological inquires within a statistical / data driven format.

Minimum Qualifications:
_Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire._
+ An M.S. or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics/Biostatistics/Computational Biology or related fields
+ Experience programming and attributable source code in Shell script, R, Python, or related languages that are widely used in Bioinformatics
+ A demonstrated experience of a developed algorithm, pipeline, or database with application to multi-omic using R package in CRAN and Bioconductor.
+ A Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics/Biostatistics/Computational Biology or related fields
+ Experience programming and attributable source code in Shell script, R, Python, or related languages that are widely used in Bioinformatics
+ A demonstrated experience of a developed algorithm, pipeline, or database with application to multi-omic using R package in CRAN and Bioconductor.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ A specialist understanding in a highly relevant field in cancer research, such as immunology, developmental biology, cell signaling, or a specific cancer type (e.g., prostate, breast)
+ Experience in training researchers in bioinformatics skills and techniques
+ Interest in developing new analytical workflows for emerging technologies (e.g., multiplexed ion beam imaging or single cell technologies)
+ An active GitHub repository and experience with working in a software development team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ An ability to work collaboratively as part of multiple groups of researchers on distinct projects
+ Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Bioinformatician - 30010 Research Faculty
This position will serve as a Faculty member of Pediatric Hem/Onc/BMT-CT in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD). The focus of this position will be the development and implementation of novel statistical and computational methods motivated by potential applications to areas such as genomics, cancer systems biology, imaging or systems modeling. The work will involve both methodological research with biostatistics faculty and collaboration with biomedical investigators. This position will be located in close proximity to Pediatric Heme/Onc Research Labs on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
