Job Details
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and startup BIM modeling technology.
- Establish BIM model technical standards and rules.
- Identify and resolve BIM technology implementation issues and problems.
- Create digital twin of the existing facilities and equipment including metadata.
- Create and modify factory layouts from scratch using measuring and scanning technology.
- Responsible for the coordination and management of BIM projects.
- Modify factory and facility layouts to incorporate new space requests in manufacturing and office environments.
- Responsible for the management and updating of BIM project documents, and regularly organize team members to hold coordination meetings.
- Analyze design & constructability for in-house and contractor projects.
- Integrate with the SCADA team members to coordinate needs for modeling or technical graphics.
- Coordinate BIM models produced to manage construction projects, and SCADA/BMS applications that are used for operating and maintaining the facility.
- Support the development of new construction projects in review and coordination meetings.
- Identify conflicts with civil, architectural, structural, and other MEP design elements and present well thought-out and cost-effective solutions.
- Review submittals, specs & drawings, including 3D models, supplied by consultants and contractors.
- Responsible for proper set up and maintenance of large, federated building models involving 8-10 design and engineering disciplines.
- Support rapid layout changes within predesign settings to present layout options to internal customers and external contractors.
- Work with manufacturing engineering to create process models.
- Support design, procurement, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
- Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiar with BIM software such as Revit and Navisworks.
- Established BIM technology within a project or company.
- Experience with creating a Digital Twin.
- Integration of BIM and SCADA system in a Digital Twin.
- Managed BIM Projects.
- Coordinated the creation and modification of complex manufacturing facility layouts.
- Demonstrated ability to organize coordination meetings in a cross functional team.
- Knowledge of architecture design and 3D modeling.
- Ability to create AutoCAD 2D plant layouts.
- Experience drawing manufacturing and utility systems in 2D and 3D.
- Experience in creating federated building models within a construction project.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Worked with manufacturing engineering teams to create process layouts.
- Coordinated BIM clash detection meetings and tracking resolutions.
- Experience in a construction project of a new manufacturing facility.
- High energy individual with a “can do” attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to write and read English.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering and/or evidence of exceptional work experience in drafting and modeling.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Revit and Autodesk software.
- Building Information Modeling (BIM) Certificate
- Autodesk Certification
- 5 to 7 years experience and understanding of manufacturing/production facilities.
