We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced BIM Coordinator to oversee and manage the Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for our electrical construction projects, primarily in the healthcare and hospital sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams to ensure the effective integration of electrical systems within the BIM framework, contributing to the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the BIM process for electrical construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to develop and maintain accurate 3D models of electrical systems.
- Utilize BIM software tools to create and manage electrical building designs and systems.
- Conduct clash detection and resolution to identify and mitigate potential conflicts in the BIM models.
- Provide training and support to project team members on BIM tools and processes.
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals for electrical components to ensure alignment with BIM models.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions related to BIM coordination.
- Assist in the documentation and reporting of BIM-related activities and project milestones.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator in electrical construction, preferably in the healthcare or hospital sector.
- Strong knowledge of BIM processes, standards, and workflows.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, BIM 360, and Navisworks.
- Experience with CAD Design, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD is a plus.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and electrical building systems design.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
