Selectek is looking for a remote BIM Assistant Project Manager to support the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) team by assisting with document control, scheduling, project tracking, submittals, and issue tracking. This entry-level position is ideal for new graduates or individuals with a couple of years of experience in the construction field. The role offers a career path to becoming a Project Lead or Project Manager within the Electrical, Mechanical/Plumbing, or Construction Management departments. No prior BIM experience is necessary.

Term of assignment: 6 month contract to hire

Required:
- Education: Recent graduate or associate degree in a related field such as Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in the construction industry. Prior experience document control, scheduling, or project tracking within the context of construction projects is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an aptitude for learning new software tools. Experience with Smartsheet and Navisworks is highly desirable. No prior BIM experience is required, but an interest in learning BIM technology is encouraged.
Job Responsibilities:
- Document Control: Organize and manage project documents, ensuring all files are up-to-date and accessible.
- Scheduling: Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules using Smartsheet, coordinating with team members to ensure timelines are met.
- Project Tracking: Monitor project progress through Smartsheet, updating status reports and tracking key project milestones.
- Submittals: Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of project submittals, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Issue Tracking: Identify and document project issues, utilizing Smartsheet for efficient communication and resolution among team members.
- Support Project Management: Provide general administrative support to the project management team, including meeting coordination and communication.
