Billing Supervisor

MUST:
3+ years of supervisory billing and/or collection experience in the professional services field
Knowledgeable of applicable state, federal and tax laws
Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be detail-oriented, thorough and organized
Professional image and positive attitude
Team player that wants their voice heard and is receptive to constructive feedback
Strong negotiating skills
Associates degree or higher
DUTIES:
Assess list of completed projects available for billing
Analyze work in process and produce client billings based on data
Resolve clients' issues and concerns regarding billing
Monitor the firms' accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts
Contact clients with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or establish a payment plan.
Make adjustments to billings based on feedback from Principal, Manager and Executive Assistant groups
Maintain log of activity related to contact with clients who have delinquent accounts and payments collected
Work closely with the Principals and the Controller of the Firm on collection efforts and provide regular updates and reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress
Reduce overall the delinquency rate
Strive to maintain excellent client relations through professional conduct
Occasional non-local travel may be required no more than 5-10% of the year, depending on your client base
