The successful candidate will be responsible for one or more of the following billing functions: Providers, Consumers, MassHealth, Senior Care Options (SCO), One Care (OC), PACE, ACO and Medicare
- Process the Caregiver Logs for the Adult Family Care (AFC) program
- Submit billing to MassHealth, using the appropriate software, for the AFC and Personal Care Management (PCM) programs, including initial billing, resubmittals and adjustments, and summarize in an approved format for ease of recording in the agency's accounting software
- Track all billings, payments, voids, denials and recoupments in an appropriate format to ensure ease of reconciliation to accounting software
- Research any audit or payment issues reported by MassHealth and communicate any issues with the appropriate program supervisors
- Submit billing to various SCO, OC, PACE, ACO and/or Medicare entities according to contract terms and billing requirements including initial billing, resubmittals and adjustments, and summarize in an approved format
- Summarize all remittance advices received from the SCO, OC, PACE, ACO and Medicare entities
- Process all provider billings and act as liaison with providers with respect to all billing issues
- Generate monthly invoices for consumers
- Answer telephone inquiries from consumers regarding invoice questions or concerns and research consumer charges and payments as necessary
- Enter consumer co-payments into appropriate software and submit summary report to the Accountant along with the checks, money orders, or cash
- Respond to requests for verification of payments for consumers related to housing assistance, long-term care insurance, or other needs
- Participate in the cross-training of job duties in the Fiscal Department and provide coverage in the absence of other Fiscal Department staff
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree in related field with over three years of relevant experience; or High school diploma, or equivalent, with over five years of relevant experience. Strong computer skills including thorough working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook; Good time management and organizational skills.
