Description
Education and/or Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent required
2. Two or four-year degree in accounting or related field preferred
3. Experience with accounts receivable (billing/invoicing) preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:
1. Work in accounting department learning the essential functions performed. Work with team to ensure all accounting functions assigned are completed daily and all processes are documented and maintained.
2. Invoice customers upon job completion and reviewing the accuracy of what is billed.
3. Assist with accounts payable as needed.
4. Review for possible errors and maintain master file records on computer system.
5. Work on periodic special projects or cost studies as requested by leader.
6. Place high value on the following departmental objectives: extraordinary/superior service, accuracy, speed, timeliness/meeting deadlines, organization, cost effectiveness, informative, and confidentiality.
7. Promote positive internal and external customer and supplier relationships.
8. Adapts quickly to change; is flexible.
9. Assist in other areas as needed.
Skills and Knowledgeinclude the following:
1. Strong computer skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
2. Typing, data entry, ten-key, and math skills with a strong attention to detail
3. Some knowledge of accounting
4. Communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
5. Ability to maintain confidential information
6. Flexible schedule to meeting internal and external customer needs
7. Team oriented as well as able to work independently
8. Proficiency/fluent with English language, both written and verbal
