Summary
Job Summary
- The Billing Specialist will assist with all facets of hospital billing process. This position is responsible for attaining and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of billing regulations and guidelines by carries. Has a basic knowledge of all office functions and is responsible for completing work assignments efficiently resulting in the desired reduction of outstanding accounts receivable while reaching department goals.
Job Requirements
- Education
- Required: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience
- Preferred: 1 year business office experience
- Skills
- Strong analytical skills to recognize problems
- Excellent computer skills and strong aptitude to learn and maximize use of applications
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities in a fast paced environment
- Billing knowledge or experience preferred
- Medical terminology preferred
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
