Compensation

• The pay for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.

Highlights

• This position is a hybrid role, requiring in-office work on Tuesdays and Thursdays every other week (with additional onsite days as business needs arise).
• You must live within a 1-hour commute of the Monroeville, PA office.
• The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST (flexible start time after training).
• Training duration is 2–3 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Perform third-party insurance claim billing and follow-up for prescription medications using the bill method required by the payer.
• Submit claims (paper and electronic) to insurance payers for reimbursement.
• Resolve insurance issues and patient concerns resulting from incomplete or incorrect information, therapy changes, or pharmacy/shipping errors.
• Maintain chronological notes and patient demographic information in data systems.
• Process billing reports and queues in compliance with payer and company policies.
• Research and respond to billing inquiries from patients, physician offices, insurance companies, and government payers by phone, email, or written communication.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in healthcare reimbursement, medical insurance billing, collections, or related work.
• Must live within a 1-hour commute of the Monroeville, PA office.
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.

Preferred Qualifications

• Billing/Collections experience.
• Customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement systems.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work in a metrics-driven environment.
