Billing Specialist Compensation

• Pay: $19.50 per hour
• Benefits: Available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• 401(k): Offered with a company match for employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Billing Specialist Highlights

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Location: Hybrid role based in Monroeville, PA
  • Onsite Requirements: Work onsite four times per month (Tuesdays and Thursdays, every other week) and attend additional in-office meetings as needed.
• Duration: Six-month contract with the possibility of extension or full-time hire

Billing Specialist Responsibilities

• Work within the PAPCC Revenue Cycle Coordinator team to support the reimbursement department.
• Communicate with third-party payers, assistance programs, and patients to resolve outstanding issues and claims.
• Call manufacturers and patients to obtain patient assistance program cards, load them into the system, and submit claims into the billing system.
• Utilize multiple operating systems and web-based programs to complete tasks efficiently.

Billing Specialist Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare reimbursement, medical insurance, billing, or related work.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with healthcare reimbursement systems.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize daily tasks.
• Education: Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.
• Other Requirements:
  • Must live within 1 hour of Monroeville, PA.
  • Willingness to work onsite as required.
