Description
The Billing Specialist will create invoices with supporting documents including researching and reconciling costs for both fixed price and reimbursable billings, as well as, communicating with the Customer upon submission of invoices. The Specialist will also create timely and accurate Book Cost to Billed Cost reconciliations for each contract. Additionally, the Billing Specialist works closely with Business Management and Contracts to perform the following duties:

+ Coordinate with personnel from various departments to ensure complete and accurate documentation for billing and subsequent collection.
+ Monitor and research costs, and request journal entries to ensure costs are accumulated against work orders/WBSs correctly.
+ Communicate with Customer(s) and personnel from various sites to gain and process accurate billing information.
+ Cooperate and assist during audits, when necessary.
+ Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with company policy.
+ Exhibit positive, courteous, and professional behavior with customers, businesses, and co-workers.
+ Assist co-workers and those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when necessary.
+ Follow all safety policies and practices as established by the company and/or regulatory bodies

Basic Qualifications:
+ H/S Diploma and +4 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or another related field.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Multi-Tasking and ability to learn quickly
+ Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
+ Excellent problem-solving skills
+ Excellent time management skills
+ Excellent decision-making skills
+ Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel)
+ Some travel will be required.

The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of weight in positioning or operating standard office equipment such as loading paper into the fax/copier machine. Moving or lifting file boxes for research.
