Position Summary
Health Specialty Pharmacy, a mail service pharmacy in the Monroeville area has an opportunity for a full-time Insurance Collections Representative to handle insurance follow up. The Insurance Collections Representative will ensure timely and accurate account payment for outstanding balances while demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals and insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities of the Insurance Collections Representative:
Timely response to Medicare audits and appeals
Research and gather the appropriate documentation to form all levels of appeals for Medicare
Third party follow-up associated with the dispensing g of prescription medication via telephone, Internet, and in writing
Resolve issues with nonpayment of invoices due to insurance problems that may have resulted from incorrect or incomplete information, therapy changes and pharmacy or shipping errors
Maintain supporting chronological notes that detail action taken to resolve outstanding account balances
Maintain patient demographic information and data collection systems Research and respond by telephone, via the internet and in writing to insurance companies and governmental payers regarding collection issues and problems
Contact patients and Physicians offices as well as insurance companies as needed in order to expedite claims processing
Located in the Monroeville facility, this opportunity also provides free parking.
Required Qualifications
18 months Healthcare Insurance related experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office products specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
Insurance billing or collections experience
Customer service in a healthcare environment
Experience working in a healthcare reimbursement system
Effective customer service skills and experience that shows ability to work in a team environment
Attention to detail
Ability to utilize analytical skills
Ability to navigate through multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize based on importance while displaying strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate with clientele in a professional manner; both verbally and written
Education
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required
Duties
Minimum 1 year experience performing healthcare reimbursement, medical collections per related work. Minimum 1 year experience working with healthcare reimbursement systems. Ability to prioritize daily tasks. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Customer service skills with the ability to work in a team environment. Experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Minimum (Required) Qualifications: Preferred Medicare experience (must be met in order to perform the job at the required level) Entry level position; 0-2 years of pharmacy billing experience Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills Must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment Good computer skills requiring basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and good typing skills.
Position Summary
Collections Specialist I will be responsible for qualifying, preparing and submitting claims to Medicare Part B, Major Medical and Medicaid. Individual must work with LTC facility staff, Omnicare pharmacy operations staff, prescriber offices, third party payers, patients and/or their responsible parties and claim processors. This position requires work within several different operating systems and web based programs to retrieve document images, collect supporting or additional information on fills and work claims through to resolution to ensure compliant, timely and accurate billing practices.
Education
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
