We’re partnering with a leading health care organization in East Hartford to hire a Billing Specialist experienced in insurance and ERP systems like Epic. This role is critical to managing the billing process, including calling insurance companies, resolving claims, and ensuring timely reimbursements.

Location: East Hartford (On-site or Hybrid)
Compensation: $23–$28/hour

Key Responsibilities of the Billing Specialist:

• Manage billing and claims processes within Epic.
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies, verify coverage, and ensure timely reimbursements.
• Process patient billing accurately and address inquiries professionally.
• Research and resolve denied claims, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
• Maintain compliance with health care regulations and insurance guidelines.
• Prepare and review billing reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Preferred Qualifications for the Billing Specialist:

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing or insurance claims processing.
• Hands-on experience with Epic ERP or similar billing systems.
• Strong understanding of insurance claims, coverage verification, and payment resolution.
• Exceptional communication skills, especially when interacting with insurance representatives and patients.
• Ability to manage high-volume workloads in a fast-paced environment.
