Our client is the region’s leader in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) products, systems, parts, and services for commercial buildings. They seek a Billing Specialist to manage the day-to-day tasks and moderate accounting activities, including journal entries associated with billing, job costing, and accounts receivable/payable. This role is an integral part of the service team and requires excellent customer service skills and acute attention to detail. This is a full-time, permanent position and will report to the Business Systems/Accounting Manager.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT?
- HS diploma or GED is required.
- Accounting or Finance degree, preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting with accounts payable and job costing is required.
- Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word, SharePoint) advanced user preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in service industry accounting is preferred.
- Ability to keep accurate records of activities performed.
- Must be well organized, hard worker, have a great attitude, and be a team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and distribute customer billing according to established schedule.
- Ensure all job cost and billing tasks are performed timely and accurately.
- Ensure all billing tasks (including maintenance agreements and project administration tasks) are established, validated, and entered into the financial management system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Produce accurate maintenance and project invoices for contract billings.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information encountered during business.
- Ensure proper filing of all AR and AP.
- Consolidate approved timesheets for proper payroll processing.
- Conduct research in specific areas assigned by your manager.
- Prepare and distribute all required management reports per accounting guidelines or instructions.
- Maintain internal relationships with the service team and coordinate with all departments to ensure the proper and timely data flow to the Accounting Department.
- Build rapport and productive working relationships with customers, vendors, and other outside agents; effectively represent the company’s interest to outside agents to maximize profits.
- Support customer satisfaction initiatives and processes.
- Provides customers with outstanding service by answering phones and processing credit card payments.
- Support successful operations consistent with company policies, programs, procedures, systems, and guidelines.
- Perform collections for overdue accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION & LOCATION
This position is based out of Drums, PA. This is a full-time position that is available for immediate hire.
