Overview:
The Billing Manager plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes within the organization. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Operations, this position involves overseeing the end-to-end billing cycle, addressing client inquiries, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. The Billing Manager collaborates with various teams to streamline operations and enhance customer service.
Responsibilities:Billing Process Management:
- Oversee the Billing Process:
- Supervise the entire billing workflow, from data input to invoice generation.
- Ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Develop Efficient Billing Procedures:
- Create and maintain streamlined processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize workflows.
- Accurate Invoice Generation:
- Generate invoices promptly and review billing data for completeness and correctness.
- Oversee the Billing Process:
Client Support:
- Primary Point of Contact:
- Serve as the main contact for billing-related inquiries from clients.
- Address client concerns and resolve billing disputes professionally.
- Clear Communication:
- Explain billing policies clearly to clients.
- Collaborate with other departments (Timecards, Payroll, Customer Service) for seamless operations.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Monitor Revenue Trends:
- Prepare and analyze billing reports to track revenue and identify trends.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams for data reconciliation.
- Forecasting and Decision Support:
- Generate forecasts and projections to aid financial planning.
- Develop and maintain billing policies to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Periodic Audits:
- Conduct compliance audits to assess adherence to policies and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor Revenue Trends:
Team Leadership:
- Task Prioritization:
- Communicate priorities set by leadership to the team.
- Conduct regular team and departmental meetings to reinforce direction.
- Progress Monitoring:
- Monitor team progress and address issues promptly.
- Escalate serious performance or disciplinary matters to leadership.
- Collaboration:
- Foster effective collaboration within the team.
- Ensure alignment with company initiatives.
- Task Prioritization:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in billing management or related roles
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., billing software, Excel)
