Responsibilities:
- Ensure maximum revenue is recognized and accurately invoiced as contractually allowed and to ensure accurate capture, reconciliation, approval, and bill back of all third-party expenses.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and propose adjustments to customer/client accounts as needed.
- Direct and manage a team of Billing Specialists with overall accountability for meeting established billing and reporting deadlines per weekly and monthly schedule.
- Establish with the Director, the standard operating procedures for billing and invoice management.
- Coordinate with other functional groups and departments, and implement creative solutions and ongoing process control that improves cash flow, process effectiveness, cost efficiency and/or service improvements.
- Organize, prioritize, manage the workload of self and others with minimal supervision, and observe direct report behavior to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent job-related experience
- 3-5 years of experience in billing management or finance experience
- Previous experience leading/managing direct reports
- Proven track record of billing accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Analytical and Research skills
- Strong written, verbal communication skills and ability to make oral presentations

Position Summary
The Billing Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end billing and invoicing processes and procedures associated with specific customer and client business lines. This diverse role also includes weekly and monthly finance reporting, contract management, and other tasks as needed.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Billing Management
- Though not directly responsible for revenue generation, the Billing Manager is responsible to ensure maximum revenue is recognized and accurately invoiced as contractually allowed
- Ensure accurate capture, reconciliation, approval and bill back of all third-party expenses including product purchase, creative, production and fulfillment expenses
- Resolve billing discrepancies and propose adjustments to customer/client accounts as needed
- Direct and manage a team of Billing Specialists with overall accountability for meeting established billing and reporting deadlines per weekly and monthly schedule
Process Management
- Establish with Director, the standard operating procedures for billing and invoice management
- Coordinate with other functional groups and departments, and implement creative solutions and ongoing process control that improves cash flow, process effectiveness, cost efficiency and/or service improvements
Supervisory
- Organize, prioritize, and manage workload of self and others with minimal supervision
- Observe direct report behavior to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement
- Balance corrective with positive feedback to ensure optimum guidance and performance improvement
- Demonstrate and mentor expected behaviors

Minimum Qualifications
The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Preferred) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Finance or Accounting (preferred)
3-5 years of experience in billing management or finance experience
Previous experience leading/managing direct reports
Proven track record of billing accuracy and meeting deadlines
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
- Analytical and research Skills
- Strong prioritization skills
- Accuracy in preparing and proofing billing for accuracy
- Ability to make oral presentations
- Strong written communication and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, and Internet usage
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
Environmental & Physical Requirements
Office / Sedentary Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
