Job Details The Outpatient Office (Billing) Coordinator works under the direction of the department Director and is responsible for managing the outpatient clerical staff and overseeing front office functions. Acts as the department liaison between the rehabilitation ambulatory site and GSUH/CH patient access and billing departments. The Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation Office/Billing Coordinator will be responsible for: Responsibilities: Front desk receptionist Collects co-pays and balance cash drawer Patient scheduler/monitors clinicians caseloads Patient registration/insurance verification/ authorizations/ appeals Addresses billing issues Runs and monitor reports/corrections in workques Clinician insurance credentialing Performs facility tasks daily- monitors equipment logs/supply inventory and ordering/light housekeeping/linen Works with interdisciplinary therapy team Assists with routine operations of the department Requirements: HS Diploma/GED required Experience with MS Office Word and Excel Previous healthcare setting experience preferred Strong desire to work in a busy and challenging environment Customer service skills required- In person and telephone Strong organizational skills to prioritize and completed assigned tasks is required Motivated and detail oriented Self-directed with ability to work independently Strong interpersonal and communication skills required Ability to comply with all regulatory standards Salary Range USD $25.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
