Billing Coordinator at ABF

About the role:

As a Corporate Controller you will be responsible for financial and accounting tasks essential for moving the business forward.

This role requires extensive accounting experience and excellent interpersonal/communication skills. You must be task oriented with exceptional organizational skills and comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.

What you'll do:

• Provide leadership and management to ensure proper accounting and reporting procedures
• Work with ownership to identify and implement financial, operational and strategic company goals
• Design, maintain and monitor compliance and regularly assess comprehensive policies and procedures, including cash receipts management, cash disbursement and expense management, contract administration and cost allocations
• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations including revenues/receivables, purchases/expenses/payables, cash management and payroll
• Prepare month-end and year-end closings including preparation of financial statements for review by the VP
• Review payrolls on a bi-weekly basis.
• Ensure all intercompany transactions are booked consistently, timely and balanced by the end of the following month.
• Ensure accounts receivable and payments are timely
• Review accounts payable; communicating with vendors as necessary to ensure accurate cash disbursement
• Train and supervise staff as necessary to reach departmental goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting and 5 years of public accounting experience
• CPA a plus
• Strong leadership and team management experience
• Strong working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience in designing, implementing and improving policies and procedures designed for efficiency, effectiveness and control
• Great communicator with an ability to work cross-functionally with department managers to achieve goals
• Experience with certified payroll is a plus.
