About the Job
The Billing Analyst will support the accounting department and billing team by liaising between the Company’s billing operations and client services. The billing analyst will properly monitor accounts receivables, handle interdepartmental billing resolutions, troubleshoot, diagnose, and coordinate efforts to resolve or improve accurate billing. The billing analyst will play a crucial role in the billing operations by accurately creating invoices, managing billing records and reports, performing data entry, and ensuring the smooth flow of analysis data.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Creating, issuing, and sending accurate invoices.
- Detect and resolve errors in billing operations and other interdepartmental or client service-related matters.
- Monitor billing records, transactions, accounts receivable for inaccuracies and clarify discrepancies.
- Develop a relationship with client service team members to ensure the billing team has the correct and accurate information to bill clients.
- Handle client billing complaints and questions regarding discrepancies with white glove service, analyze the data in the system, coordinate with interdepartmental teams to correct inaccuracies, and resolve billing issues.
- Manage client account reconciliations by analyzing data, researching, and follow-ups.
- Build and maintain relationships with management and clients to create analytical reports, provide billing resolution, and make recommendations on improvements to billing scenarios.
- Responsible for receiving, tracking, researching, and managing escalated requests from the Company’s top clients/cases to ensure we meet SLAs, provide resolutions within the committed timelines, and ensure quality service.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective listening skills. Must be able to interact professionally with multiple individuals.
- The ability to read and interpret contracts/agreements as it relates to pricing/billing
- Interpersonal skills, people-oriented, team player and results-driven.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient to highly proficient in Excel, and excellent knowledge in MS Office.
- High attention to detail, meet deadlines, reliability, integral and dependability.
- High school diploma is required; BS/BA in Accounting or a similar field is preferred.
- Equivalent to three (3) plus years’ experience of working as a Billing Analyst or similar accounting role.
