ICP Group is looking to hire a Production Supervisor for our Tampa, FL plant. Under the guidance of the Production Manager direct and oversee production operations of an Acrylic and Silicone Coatings manufacturing plant, ensuring that products meet the quality and service expected from our customers. Assist in the continuous improvement of ICP’s manufacturing and operating procedures, developing and mentoring personnel in these assigned areas.
This is a 1st shift position, 7:00am – 3:30pm.
In this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Qualifications:
ICP Group is looking to hire a Production Supervisor for our Tampa, FL plant. Under the guidance of the Production Manager direct and oversee production operations of an Acrylic and Silicone Coatings manufacturing plant, ensuring that products meet the quality and service expected from our customers. Assist in the continuous improvement of ICP’s manufacturing and operating procedures, developing and mentoring personnel in these assigned areas.
This is a 1st shift position, 7:00am – 3:30pm.
In this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Actively lead and improve site safety results and a safety culture focused on safe behaviors, safe working conditions and employee engagement through “safety observations” and “Tool Box Talks”
- Ensure all safeguards are in place, PPE is understood and supported, and all EE’s receive training on their responsibilities where safety is integrated into their expectations and procedures.
- Ensure (1) the production area meets all required regulatory Safety (OSHA) and Environmental (EPA Federal, State and Local) requirements, and (2) Requirements and procedures are documents and employees receive routine/required training on their responsibility.
- Monitor and audit operator behavior to ensure conformance to formulas and procedures, quality of all production ensuring quality tests are performed, standards are met, and non-compliant material is addressed immediately.
- Assist in the scheduling of the plant and staff workload while maximizing plant efficiency.
- Identify and address production constraints related to equipment reliability. Work with maintenance team to execute improvements and projects that improve equipment reliability and reduce product loss.
- Timely identification of and communication to the Supply Chain team of raw material quality and availability issues that constrain our ability to produce to schedule and/or put our product quality at risk.
- Responsible to ensure raw material (RM) inventory accuracy through timely and accurate RM-to FG transactions, cycle counts are performed/investigated/remedies and un-transacted RM usage is identified.
- Participate in CapEx improvement projects through (1) offering project proposals for improvement and (2) actively supporting CapEx improvement projects.
- Establish production goals based on factors that impact efficiency, track and communicate performance to goals, collaborate with management and employees to prioritize and execute improvements.
- Drive a culture of 5S and visual factory where (1) equipment, tools, materials and work areas have clear (visual) expectations, (2) EE responsibility is documented, trained, executed and audited and (3) Visual Factory principles are utilized where appropriate.
- Monitor KPI’s daily to maintain expected levels of performance.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and train staff.
- Provide monthly updates to management outlining plant objectives and accomplishments.
- Coordinate with the corporate lab to perform plant trials as a function of product development.
- Establish cost savings targets and communicate progress.
Qualifications:
- 2 years in a manufacturing management/supervisory/lead role.
- Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP.
- Experience with batch manufacturing operations and automated equipment.
- Knowledge of Safety and Environmental regulatory requirements associated with manufacturing.
- Bilingual; Spanish and English
- Familiarity and experience with Lean principles such as 5S, DMAIC, Gemba, Constraint Management and structured Problem Solving.
- Capable of manipulating numerical data into information such as (1) setting time standards based on equipment cycle, (2) validating materials required, and (3) calculating work order yields
- Servant Leadership approach that involves active listening, effective communication, daily and motivating interactions with EE’s and collaborative and assertive performance management
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment where English may not be the first language.
- Must be able to work in a plant environment with varying levels of temperature and physical requirements.
