About the Job
We are seeking a polished and professional Bilingual Law Office Assistant to join the team of a well-established plaintiffs' side employment law firm in Silver Spring. Our firm litigates wage and hour and discrimination claims.
This is a temp-to-hire position and we will provide training! No legal experience is necessary.
Position requirements include solid verbal or written communication skills in both English and Spanish

Duties And Responsibilities-
- Obtain information from new and potential clients.
- nswer and screen telephone calls Interpret during telephone calls between lawyers/firm staff members and Spanish-speaking individuals
- Greet guests perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks such as;
- Schedule appointments
- Update case files
- Data entry
- Organize documents and prepare exhibits, notebooks and binders
- Make deliveries
- Receive and sort daily mail and deliveries
- Respond to inquiries on various matters such as the status of pending cases.
- Operate standard office equipment such as word processors, personal computers, calculators, duplicating machines, facsimile machines, printers, scanners, etc.
- Maintain break room and other common areas, including cleaning appliances and sanitizing of high-traffic areas and surfaces.
- Make deliveries and run errands outside the office.
- Organize and maintain the file room. Requires lifting large and heavy boxes of files.
- Perform any other work-related things including those relating to Firm operations as assigned.
Office Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Education
Completion of a high school diploma and simultaneous enrollment in a bachelor's or associate degree are strongly preferred, but not required

Special Requirements
The position requires the ability to be covered by a fidelity bond. The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check and/or fingerprinting.
