Position Summary
To provide the client business offices with support in collecting on active accounts receivable in a virtual business office environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Work active patient accounts of assigned health care client in a call center environment through inbound and outbound calling process.
- Maintaining good customer service skills, ask for payment and resolution of each account as appropriate.
- For each account contact or activity, thoroughly document account in accordance with company and client policy.
- Work assigned accounts effectively and efficiently in accordance with all policies and regulations to maintain production and customer service standards.
- Report problems experienced to supervisor as appropriate.

Education and/or Experience, Skills and Abilities
Requires professional knowledge of the principles of credit, collections and customer service typically acquired through at least one year of on-the-job experience in a hospital business office or medical accounts receivable environment. Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully by telephone and in a written fashion to clearly document account activity. Ability to follow progressive collection steps in accordance with client directions. Requires working knowledge of personal computers and automated dialer systems. Knowledge of all related regulations including but not limited to individual client policies and procedures and HIPAA.
