We are seeking an experienced and diligent Permanent Occupational Safety Lead to join our dynamic food manufacturing team. This role is integral to our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational safety best practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS guidelines, and other relevant regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
3. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees about safety procedures, accident prevention, and regulatory compliance.
4. Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to identify their causes and to determine how they might be prevented in the future.
5. Coordinate with management to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
6. Maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents and responses, and provide regular reports to senior management.
7. Stay updated on new laws and regulations that impact the company's operations and ensure that appropriate changes are made to policies and procedures.
8. Lead the emergency response team and coordinate drills and other emergency response exercises.
