Position Summary:
The Medical Call Center Representative plays a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer and patient service, focusing on healthcare customer care.
Responsibilities:
Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, voicemails, and text inquiries.
Schedule patient appointments following office protocols.
Verify insurance eligibility and assist with insurance-related inquiries.
Provide Ophthalmic Triaging to assess patient needs.
Educate patients on appointment policies and procedures.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of medical records and referrals.
Collaborate with other departments as needed for seamless patient care.
Maintain knowledge of medical and aesthetic procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Fluent in Spanish.
Minimum one year of medical scheduling experience.
Experience in a remote work environment preferred.
Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of insurance and billing procedures.
Strong computer skills including familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
Regularly sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear.
Use hands for computer work and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
