About the Job
The Marketing Assistant collaborates with the Marketing and Development Teams to support marketing efforts, stewardship activities, and events. Duties entail administrative and project-based functions including graphic design, photography, event logistics and participation, scheduling, coordinating and executing organizational campaigns, handling and processing information requests, maintaining team-based databases, preparing analytical reports, and filing.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential job functions include the following:
- Helps to develop and execute an annual Marketing plan, in collaboration with the Marketing & Development team with target goals, objectives, timelines and outcomes.
- Provides ongoing administrative support including preparing and editing graphics, presentations, correspondence and other documents.
- Captures events and testimonials through digital media.
- Helps to maintain and update internal and external database systems.
- Creates and maintains staff directories in collaboration with Human Resources, HiHello and the front desk staff.
- Schedules and coordinates meetings and event logistics including notification of attendees, securing facilities or
- preparing and hosting virtual platform, and ordering food and supplies.
- Presents marketing initiatives during new hire orientations and staff meetings.
- Monitors, responds to and distributes incoming communications from staff i.e. - marketing request forms, questions about marketing, web forms, intranet
- Develops and carries out an efficient documentation and filing system.
- Manages Canva platform and design requests and approvals
- Interacts with internal staff at all levels.
- Assists Marketing with internal requests.
- Serves as a member of the marketing team and supports marketing initiatives.
- Works with PQI to gather information to tell the story of CFR’s success.
- Maintains SalesForce database, processes internal Marketing Requests, coordinates and communicates to printer, and internal staff, and generates reports.
- Monitors, responds to and distributes incoming communications.
- Participates in creating new ideas to improve staff engagement and morale.
- Assists Marketing, Development and HR with special projects as needed.
- Interacts with internal and external clients at all levels.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Ability to write and speak in both English and Spanish.
- Two Years’ graphic design experience
- Adobe Creative Suite experience
- Canva Experience
- Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two years' relevant experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Google Analytics certifications and/or experience
- SEO Writing experience
- Ability to problem solve, interpret instructions from diverse individuals, and recommend solutions.
- Photography and video capturing experience
- Must be available for all events, meetings and media opportunities in Tucson and Pima County.
- Commitment to adhering to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) standards and ethics.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and database management experience required. SalesForce experience a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to support and implement department projects, policies, goals and objectives.
- Maintain a functional and safe home working space with adequate internet connection for the job.
- Comply with all agency and program policies and procedures including confidentiality, employee conduct, computer usage and dress code.
- Meet program/department’s performance and productivity standards.
- Attend required agency and program/department meetings and activities.
- Adhere to the schedule agreed upon with the supervisor.
- Follow and model CFR’s core values.
- Participate in PQI initiatives.
- Must be eligible and able to obtain a Level one fingerprint card.
- Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, vehicle and meet agency liability insurance requirements.

- The Pay Rate for this position starts at $19.10-$20.70 per hour.
