We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Bilingual Human Resources Assistant to join our team in the construction industry. This is a permanent position with a focus on maintaining and enhancing our diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, with a passion for human resources and a keen eye for detail. If you have a knack for building strong relationships and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
As a Bilingual Human Resources Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR operations. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting in the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs.
2. Coordinating new hire orientations, preparing new hire packets, and handling new hire paperwork to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
3. Facilitating employee relations, acting as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and issues.
4. Conducting pre-employment checks, including reference checks and background investigations.
5. Assisting in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, life insurance, and retirement plans.
6. Maintaining employee records and HR filing systems in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
7. Assisting with the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
8. Providing support for various HR projects as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Bilingual Human Resources Assistant position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
2. Fluency in both English and Spanish.
3. Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
4. Experience with new hire orientations, new hire packets, new hire paperwork, employee relations, pre-employment checks, and benefits.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
6. High level of discretion and confidentiality.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
9. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
