Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit social service agencies with programs and facilities serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.
We are currently seeking a Full Time Family Support Worker to join our Family Resource Center located in Jersey City, NJ.
The purpose of the Family Resource Center is to reduce incidents of child abuse and neglect, to support family reunification and to strengthen families referred by DCP&P in Hudson County.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Provide family support services to approximately 13-15 families.
- Provide in home supportive counseling, case management; advocacy, transportation, parent education.
- Complete all program documentation including progress notes, plans of care, statistical reports, court reports and any other required documentation for program and contract compliance.
SCHEDULE:
- Schedule will vary between a 9AM to 5PM and 11AM - 7PM schedule from Monday through Friday
- Schedule to be discussed with hiring manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field
- 1 - 2 years experience working with children/adolescents
- Valid Driver's license
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Experience working with DCPP and local systems of care highly desirable.
