Bilingual Early Childhood Teacher - Lutheran Social Service of New York

REPORTS TO: Head Teacher

            CLASSIFICATION: Full Time

         ...EDUCATION REQUIRED:

BA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.

NYS Teaching Certification in any of the following areas are preferred:

-Early Childhood (Birth – Grade 2)-Nursery,

-Kindergarten and Grades 1- 6 (N-6) or

-Prekindergarten – Grade 6 (P-6)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a childcare setting or working with children.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, and additional languages are welcomed.

Demonstrated ability to provide instruction for the Early Childhood age level population from birth to 8 years old.

Demonstrated ability and desire to provide effective management skills and techniques for an immigrant Early Childhood age level population from birth to 8 years old.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other staff, as needed.
