This role will review data and analyze metrics to provide insight to business leaders.
This role will be FULLY ONSITE in Scottsdale, AZ for the first few months, then potential to switch to a Hybrid schedule
Details Overview:
- Working with the BI and Analytics team
- Will be working with the end user
- Need heavy attention to detail
- Python is nice to have
- Will be heavily working with the data (Sales, ambassadors, commission)
- Budgeting and forecasting would be a huge plus
- Focus on SQL Development, SQL server or snowflake, and data visualization via tableau
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and implement reports and dashboards using data from the warehouse to assist in business decision-making and performance monitoring. Ensure visualizations are interactive and easy to understand.
- Ensure data is accurate, the performance of visualization is optimal, and functionality and verbiage are designed for a non-technical audience.
- Participate in full BI development lifecycle: from defining requirements, creating SQL extract, developing BI objects, testing with end-user and promotion to production.
- Develop well organized and detailed documentation of metric definitions, report tracker information, and commonly used functions/calculations. Maintain and improve documentation as new processes and rules are implemented.
- Partners with and provides recommendations to business leadership on the appropriate application of analytics to business strategies and effectively communicates analyses.
- Bring a Continuous Improvement mindset to work every day. Analyze existing reporting and data logic processes to identify areas for efficiency. Implement efficiency and train team on the new process.
- Participates in code reviews, evaluates, and recommends alternative solutions when appropriate.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders; organize and engage in effective meetings with the BI team and business partners.
- Train business partners on how to use and interpret the data in our dashboards.
- Assist with answering Help Desk tickets related to data requests and reporting support as needed.
- Other Ad-Hoc and Ongoing Reporting and Dashboard requests.
- Minimum 5+ years in a data analysis/reporting role.
- Preferred 7+ years of sales and financial reporting.
- 5 + years of previous experience in BI tools and languages such as Tableau, Power BI and SQL.
- Experience in an Agile/Kanban environment.
- Communicate clearly: verbal, written and presentations. Be detailed but to the point. Proper utilization of charts, tables and narrative with correct grammar is expected.
- Critical thinking, communication, and continuous improvement skillset is expected every day
- Nice to have: scripting knowledge (Python).
