About the Job
The BHS Training Coordinator oversees, coordinates, and promotes the development of training programs within behavioral health services of El Camino Hospital; identifies needs within the community we serve, and participates in the development of therapist training programs that support those needs and hospital strategies.
Provides coordination of inquiries and recruitment of therapist trainees for Behavioral Health Services (BHS) training programs that will enhance training program volumes and facilitate assignment of trainees to appropriate BHS programs to enhance patient care and outcomes. Provides support, coordination and oversight for central access and intake team responsible for assessments of patients for admission to services. Identifies and acts on opportunities within the community to market, promote and educate other training programs on the behavioral health services training programs offered by El Camino Hospital. Point of contact for community programs, prospective trainees to assess potential trainee needs and refers into ECH programs or to other programs within the community.
Qualifications
- PhD in Psychology or PsyD Individual and group psychotherapy experience in an acute psychiatric care setting.
- Experience in program promotion, outreach, and/or marketing of therapist training programs and services
- Experience as a neuropsychologist in a hospital setting preferred.
- Established expertise in using psychometric and diagnostic assessment methods
- Must have excellent communication, training, and coaching skills
- Minimum of one year in providing training in a healthcare, university, or related setting including responsibility for needs assessment, program development and implementation and evaluation of effectiveness of education program
License/Certification/Registration Requirements
CA Licensed clinical psychologist
