The Beverage Manager (BM) partners with the General Manager to manage and support all things beverage. A restaurant position that maintains, supports, improves, innovates, and implements all things beverage related such as, crew training, service roll outs, product suggestions, quality assurance, and operations.

Essential Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience bartending and/or managing a bar program in a high-volume restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of classic, craft cocktails, and a solid understanding of spirits, beer, and wine.
- Literacy in variety of computer programs like MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate in a clear, professional manner to all levels of the company
- Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages with food.
Desirable Qualifications: Will show priority to candidates that possess the below qualifications.
- WSET Level 2 or Court of Masters Certified preferred. It may be completed within the six months of employment.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Is the expert and ambassador of our Beverage program. Will possess the knowledge to teach and develop crew members on the Beverage Program.
- Manages bar operations including the designated “bar zone” during service periods.
- Validate recipe adherence and time standards for drinks produced.
- Validate bartenders provide professional, efficient service to guests at the bar top and assist where needed.
- Ensure service standards and drink delivery timing is met
- Supports the bartenders during operations to include monitoring bar top operations, expediting service well drinks and making drinks.
- Responsible for ongoing training and development of bartenders and bar backs.
- Encourage creativity from bartenders for cocktail conception.
- Leads bartender annual performance reviews, partnering with General Manager on messaging.
- Places weekly beverage orders; receives and stocks all beverage deliveries.
- Performs beverage inventories and reports to variances.
- Communicates to team all beverage changes including new and returning items, out of stock items, specials.
- Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of all beverage menus and beverage POS submenus.
- Ensure all beverage training materials are accurate and current for the beverage program. Communicates needed updates to the Beverage Director.
- Assist in classroom training of Beverage topics for Manager's in Training.
- Participate in the selection process/ and or hiring of bartenders, bar backs, bar leaders and receivers
Required Schedule and Hours
- Tuesday – 12pm to 9pm
- Wednesday – 10am to 7pm / except on inventory days -7am to 4pm
- Thursday – 12pm - 9pm
- Friday – 1pm to 10pm
- Saturday 1pm-10pm
