This is a hybrid role that may be based out of our Seattle or Boston office with an in-office requirement 3 days per week.
What you'll do:
The Benefits Specialist contributes to the seamless administration of our benefits programs. With a focus on operational excellence and a strong understanding of US and Canada benefits regulations, this role actively manages the day-to-day administration of benefits programs in North America, including leaves of absence. The Benefits Specialist will also provide support for our global benefits program as needed.
This role plays a significant part in ensuring our employees have a positive and seamless experience with their benefits. You will be the primary point of contact for employees, providing timely and accurate support, while also ensuring our benefits programs are administered efficiently and compliantly.
Responsibilities:
+ Administer U.S. and Canada benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and voluntary benefits.
+ Manage leave of absence (LOA) administration in partnership with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and state leave requirements.
+ Support benefits initiatives, including plan renewals, audits, and employee education efforts.
+ Partner with People Partners, managers, and employees to facilitate ADA accommodation requests.
+ Maintain and update benefits documentation, including employee guides, FAQs, and vendor resources, using Confluence and other tools.
+ Act as the main point of contact for employee benefits and leave-related inquiries, resolving issues and escalating complex cases when necessary.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of benefits information in Workday.
+ Support benefits-related projects, including open enrollment, compliance reporting, and process improvements.
+ Leverage tools like Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace to track tasks, manage workflows, and communicate updates effectively.
What You'll Need:
Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and 2+ years of direct experience in U.S. benefits and leave of absence administration,
+ OR Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and 3+ years of HR experience, including 2+ years of direct experience in U.S. benefits and leave of absence administration,
+ OR 4+ years of HR experience in lieu of a degree, including 2+ years of direct experience in U.S. benefits and leave of absence administration.
+ Exposure to global benefits and ADA accommodations is highly preferred.
+ Ability to be in office 2-3 days per week.

Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of U.S. federal and state regulations related to benefits, leave of absence, and accommodations, with an awareness of global benefits practices.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex benefits and leave programs clearly.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and empathetic approach to addressing employee concerns.
Organization: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.#LI-HYBRID
At Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience. All full time employees are eligible for merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and equity. Our job postings may span more than one career level and the base pay range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting base pay for this role for all US candidates is between:
$71,000 and $78,700
