Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled Benefits & Payroll Specialist to join our client's team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role involves managing employee benefits programs, administering payroll, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The position also requires developing resources to educate employees about their benefits and supporting HR technology improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee health, wellness, and retirement benefit programs, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Assist with payroll processing, including deductions, taxes, and accurate recordkeeping.
- Manage open enrollment, renewals, and employee education initiatives.
- Support leave administration, including short-term and long-term disability and FMLA.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and benefit providers to ensure service quality.
- Collaborate with internal teams on HRIS updates and benefits technology enhancements.
- Create detailed reports and resolve benefits-related issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Business).
- 5–7 years of experience in benefits administration and payroll support.
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations affecting employee benefits.
- Proficiency in HR systems (experience with Oracle HRIS is a plus).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
