Benefits Manager
Hybrid work schedule: 4 days a week on-site in Chandler, AZ, 1 day remote
Job Summary:
As a Benefits Manager at Array Tech Inc., you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other related plans. This role involves working closely with HR partners, finance, and external vendors to ensure compliance, competitiveness, and alignment with the needs of the employees, organizational objectives, and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Strategy and Design:
- Develop and recommend strategies for employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, disability, and leave policies.
- Evaluate and compare existing benefits programs to those of other employers by analyzing current trends and developments in benefits plans.
Benefits Administration:
- Oversee the daily management of employee benefits programs
- Manage relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants and negotiate with service providers for optimal services and pricing.
- Ensure that all benefits programs are effectively communicated to employees and understood
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), COBRA, ERISA, and HIPAA.
- Oversee preparation and filing of required reports, such as 5500s, to meet regulatory obligations.
- Conduct regular audits of benefits plans and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Employee Communication:
- Lead efforts in educating employees about their benefits options, eligibility, and how to maximize the value of their benefits.
- Develop materials such as benefits guides, FAQs, and internal memos to communicate changes or updates in the benefits offerings.
Cost Management:
- Analyze and monitor costs associated with employee benefits programs.
- Collaborate with finance to budget and forecast benefits-related expenses.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining the quality of benefits programs.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, with at least 2 years in a benefits managerial role.
- Experience with employee benefits program design and administration.
- Familiarity with benefits-related software and HR systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information in a clear, concise manner.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
