About the Job
Position Summary
Our client is looking for an experienced Benefits Manager. The Benefits Manager is responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, administration, and governance of benefits programs, wellness initiatives, and HRIS processes. This role ensures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements while supporting organizational goals of attracting, rewarding, and retaining talent. The Benefits Manager serves as a strategic partner, offering insights and solutions to leadership to optimize the organization's total rewards strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
- Ensure compliance with regulations, including FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, and IRS requirements.
- Develop and implement competitive, compliant total rewards and health benefits programs.
- Collaborate with brokers, payroll, and stakeholders to streamline benefit processes and payments.
- Oversee annual open enrollment and educate employees on benefit offerings.
- Manage leave administration, carrier billing, and data interfaces with vendors.
- Coordinate retirement transactions and oversee wellness programs to enhance employee health and engagement.
HRIS Management
- Identify inefficiencies in HR data management processes and implement improvements.
- Maintain and audit HRIS data related to employee lifecycle processes.
- Provide reports and training for HRIS users and support system enhancements and maintenance.
Compensation Support
- Manage HRIS compensation and performance modules, including reports and queries.
- Assist with performance management processes and compensation analyses.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and database management.
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS, preferably UKG, and strategic total rewards planning.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address diverse challenges creatively.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to work with diverse audiences.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with eight years of experience in benefits and total rewards strategy.
- Extensive HRIS experience (preferably UKG).
- Equivalent advanced education, training, and experience may be considered.
Certifications
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification strongly preferred.
- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) credential preferred.

$79K-109K
