We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Benefits & Leaves, HR Generalist to join our vibrant team in the Legal industry. This role is pivotal in supporting our employees by managing and administering benefits and leaves, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and contributing to the overall HR strategy. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HR practices and labor legislation, particularly in the legal sector, and will be proficient in ADP. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with a commitment to ensuring the welfare and satisfaction of our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans; medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; and wellness programs.
- Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Coordinate daily benefits processing, handle enrollments, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testing.
- Manage all leave of absence cases end-to-end, including FMLA, STD, LTD, and related leaves, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
- Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure the company's compliance with multi-state laws and regulations related to benefits and leaves.
- Serve as the primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
- Assist with the preparation of reports for management, auditors, and other personnel.
- Collaborate with the HR team on various initiatives and projects, such as HRIS management, employee engagement, and talent acquisition.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on benefits and leave administration, preferably within a law firm.
- Proficiency in ADP software.
- Solid knowledge of multi-state labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
