Summary:
The Benefits Analyst aids in the development, design, implementation and administration of health and welfare retirement and leave benefits programs, practices and policies. The Benefits Analyst provides day-to-day support for the Benefits department and, in partnership with other members of the Benefits team, works to ensure accurate plan administration in compliance with applicable state and federal legislations. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
+ Support the Benefits team in the administration of benefits programs, including open enrollment and employee leaves.
+ Assist in developing, organizing, and tracking workflow and processes for the Benefits team.
+ Provide standard and ad hoc benefits and leave of absence reports for audits and on an as needed basis.
+ Conduct data integrity audits focused on employee and benefit plan data within Vendor and Rush applications.
+ Support Employee Service Center and HR partners with general benefits-related questions.
+ Acts as a subject matter expert, responding to unresolved and escalated complex employee questions/issues from the Employee Service Center.
+ Creates and updates all benefits-related content on the Employee Service Center portal.
+ Manages all benefits, retirement, and leave of absence vendor billing, including invoice reconciliation, audit of payroll deductions, request and track payments and ensure vendor receipt and credit on future invoice.
+ Presents benefits information at New Employee Orientation.
+ Processes COBRA notifications for employees with a Rush severance package.
+ Additional duties and projects as assigned.
Required Job Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree. 4 years of relevant work experience where the required knowledge, skills and abilities have been acquired will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
+ Previous experience working within Human Resources, Benefits or Financial analysis.
+ Working proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Microsoft Excel and Word.
+ Integrity and discretion in handling protected/confidential data.
+ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
+ Effective written and oral communication skills.
+ Customer service focus with the ability to exhibit a sense of urgency.
+ Ability to manage competing priorities through planning, tracking and organization skills
+ Ability and willingness to approach tasks with a spirit of collaboration and high degree of initiative in order to problem solve with peers and customers.
+ Must be approachable, dependable and a self-starter. Possesses and demonstrates the ability to quickly grasp the essence of an issue or problem and a curiosity to uncover facts as well as the follow through to build/recommend solutions.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
+ Experience in Benefits.
+ Professional HR certification.
