Provide program support to eligibility staff; perform a variety of tasks required for the completion of financial assistance applications and re-determination for continued assistance.
Job Duties:
- Evaluate and verify information.
- Understand how to navigate eligibility systems to verify information.
- Perform clerical assignments to include maintaining logs, files, and requests for services.
- Provide a variety of support tasks to assist eligibility workers with telephone coverage, routine correspondence, filing, maintenance of case records, etc.
- Prepare and file required records, reports and related data using accepted methods and basic mathematical skills.
- Conduct face to face interviews and assist customers in completing required forms using good interpersonal skills and interviewing techniques.
- Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on then current workloads and department needs.
Minimum/Special/Additional Requirements:
- High school or GED plus two (2) years’ experience in fields providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must have, or obtain, a current and valid Virginia or North Carolina driver’s license in accordance with Virginia or North Carolina DMV driver’s license eligibility requirements.
