Behavioral Technician, Independent Living Program – Phillipsburg (20708)
Description
The Independent Living Program provides supportive housing and oversight to young adults ages 18-20 in Phillipsburg, NJ. Residents are residing in their own apartments while staff is on site for case management needs, life skills, transportation and other on-going support.
Salary: $31,470
General duties and responsibilities for a Behavioral Technician are as follows:
- On site supervision of residents including daily check-ins, weekly face to face meetings and transportation in an agency vehicle to work, school, doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, etc.
- Ensure residents safety and personal development by following program guidelines, residents’ treatment plans and on-going work towards residents’ goals
- Administer medication as needed
- Daily note taking and regular communication with other staff and supervisor
- Basic housekeeping duties around building and in staff office
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years or older
- Proficient writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during shift with minimal supervision
- Driver’s license with a clean driving history
- Knowledge of local and state resources pertaining to employment, housing and financial stability would be beneficial
- This position is full time position with a 4-day work week. This position will require working evenings, overnights, every other weekend and some holidays
