Position Summary:
As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct support and assistance to children with behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities. Working under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and collaborate with the clinical team to achieve meaningful outcomes for the children we serve.
Responsibilities:
- - Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA, ensuring fidelity and effectiveness of interventions.
- - Conduct direct one-on-one therapy sessions with children between the ages of 2-10, utilizing ABA techniques to address specific behavioral goals.
- - Document and maintain accurate records of client progress, behavioral data, and session notes.
- - Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to review client progress, adjust intervention strategies, and ensure consistent treatment implementation.
- - Actively participate in team meetings, providing valuable insights and feedback to enhance client outcomes.
- - Demonstrate sensitivity, patience, and empathy when working with clients and their families to build a positive therapeutic relationship.
- - Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold the company's ethical standards and policies at all times.
- - Continuously seek professional development opportunities to stay current with ABA best practices and advancements.
Requirements:
- - High school diploma (bachelor's degree in relevant fields is a plus).
- - Valid driver's license, personal vehicle & auto insurance (policy holder or name listed as a driver on policy).
- - Reliable transportation for in-home sessions.
- - Pass a background check.
- - Must obtain RBT certification within 90 days, all training provided.
- - Previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and colleagues.
