About the Job
Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a part time Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide early intervention classroom support for a local Intermediate Unit.
4 days/week (Mon-Thurs 8:15-11:15 for am session, 30 minute lunch break, 30 min lunch helper period then pm session 12:15-3:15)
Must have experience working with preschool aged children in the behavior field

PTS provides consistent on-site and off-site mentorship with Clinical Directors and Team Leaders and EI Mentors.
Early Intervention and School Based Academy: We provide the support and community that a new School-Based therapist needs to feel comfortable and to be successful.
Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher and all students enrolled in the classroom with personal care needs (such as toileting and diapering) and instructional support
Assist the BSC in implementing behavioral programming
Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures
Demonstrate sound judgment, critical thinking, decision making, and effective time management skills
Maintain acceptable attendance status, per Agency policy
Perform other duties as assigned
Maintain 20 continuing education/training hours per school year

Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Minimum one year experience working with children. Prefer this experience to include working with children (ages 3-5) with special needs.
